walsh family
the walsh family has been in bures hamlet for many years.gone back to Robert walsh born appox 1788.my gran lived in bures until her death in 1997 her name was lilian she married William walsh in 1927.would like to hear from anyone who knew the family.

I can find no grave or records of Lillian or Wiliam being interned in the Bures Cemetary
Possibly cremated or buried elsewhere

James Walsh b. 1812 Wakes Colne. Address Bures Road / Wakes Colne, Essex. Married Keziah Eves b. 1813 White Colne. 12th Jul 1833 White Colne. d. Dec. 1901 Mount Bures.

thank you alan for your input on the walsh family.lilian walsh died 1997 and William walsh died 1966,they are both buried in bures cemetery cookoo hill.

As i couldn`t find it visually last time, I managed to find from the Parish Records where the grave was located
On arrival I found nothing, but rummaging around in the grass I found a memorial stone laying horizontally
I cleared away all the grass and moss and managed to take a photo
The inscription reads
In remembrance
of
William R Walsh
15-2-1903 - 23.11.1966
Lillian M Wash
10.11.1904 - 11.8.1997
For ever
in our thoughts
I cant be certain of the dates as they weren`t that clear on the photograph, best I could do
