Salmon Family

Post by Helena »

Having had success with Frederick and Gertrude Smith, I thought I would see what the community could come up on this side of the family. Alfred Charles married Emma Elizabeth Cole and had 13 children who were:

Naomi - married Henry "Harry" Bitten, moved to Eastbourne
Mary Ann - married Roger Chapman, moved to Islington last I can find of them is in Wood Green
Harry Salmon - married Jane Rudd have picked up quite a bit of information from Ancestry but would like to contact living relatives
Alfred Charles - married Daisy Richards I believe they may have lived in the village - Daisy died 1948, registered Sudbury, Alfred Charles died 1957 address Water lane at time of death
Emma - married Edwin Evans
Bertie - married Esther Fenner
Frederick Reginald - married Florence M Watson I know Fred died in 1979 registered Southend on Sea cannot find death for Florence
Elenor M - cannot find much information other than a possible marriage and a possible death if she did not marry
Edward George - married Phoebe Maria Amos - known as Ted, know he lived at Water lane and is featured on the bowls page of this website
Winifred Victoria - married Alfred George Lewis (known as George) - can find death for Winifred in 1978 but not for Alfred G
Ethel Isabella - married Andrew Joseph McShea in 1918 Edmonton - I can find a death for Ethel in 1974 registered Sudbury, but her husband is a mystery man! On the marriage certificate his Rank or Profession is given as Sapper RE, a professional footballer. They were married at St Paul's Catholic Church at Wood Green. I guess his nationality was Irish but I cannot find him in the 1911 censuses, nor can I find a death record for him anywhere.
Hilda Violet - married William T Bishop - can find a death for Hilda in 1986 but not for William
Wilfred Jack - married Ethel Katies Smith my grandparents

Any information on any of the above, ie where they lived, what their occupations were, etc or any memories of them whatsoever which would give me a more rounded picture of them would be most gratefully received.
