Eaker Land
Hi, Has anyone ever heard of 'Eaker Land' in Mount Bures. It was held by the Stedmans in 1779 when James left it to his two sons James and Thomas. It is quite clearly Eaker Land in the will but sounds a bit like 'Akermans' - owned by Sarah Stedman (prob. sister of James) in 1800. Grateful for any help on this. Penny
