Bertie Walter Gunn was born in Boxford,Suffolk in 1888, the only child of (unmarried) Rosetta Gunn.
In 1900 Rosetta married George Frederick Baker in Assington and in 1901 the family moved to Bures Hamlet ,where Rosetta was to die the following year.
In 1915 Bertie Gunn married Alice Cansdale.
I would be interested to learn if the Gunn's stayed in Bures and whether there are any living descendants of Bertie and Alice.

Just a little update to my original post of three years ago......
Walter and Alice Gunn had two children, Alice Emily Gunn born in 1916 and Robert B. C. Gunn born in 1918, both in Bures Hamlet.
Shortly afterwards the family moved to Colchester.
(Mother) Alice died in Colchester in 1948 aged 62 whilst Walter died there in 1966 aged 78.
Of their children, Alice appears to have married a William Long in Colchester in 1941 and she lived until 1991.
I don't know what happened to her brother Robert Gunn as i can find no marriage or death registration for him.He possible may have died during WW2.
